Unless you are a walk-in client getting tattooed on the spot, an appointment can not be made without a deposit. Therefore, appointments must be made in person at the shop. The only exception is for repeat clients who have a deposit already at the shop, and clients who live more than 2 hour away or live out of the state. These clients may book an appointment via phone or email.
DEPOSIT POLICY: Deposits are required to book an appointment and are a down payment for your tattoo. You will get to use your deposit at your final session upon completion of your tattoo. If you do not bring all the money necessary to pay for your appointment and your tattoo is NOT finished you will not be able to use part of your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable, and non-transferable to another person or design if you change your mind. You can risk losing your deposit only if you do not follow the policies below. If you violate one of the deposit policies listed below you will need to come in and pay another deposit to make or keep any future appointments.
LATE POLICY: If you are more than 30 minutes late without calling ahead of time you will be considered a no-call no-show and you will lose your appointment and your deposit.
The design is considered property of the artist. If you are unhappy with the design we will work with you to make the needed changes to make sure you love it. We will not do any design approval via text message or email. You will be able to approve your design the day of your 1st appointment in the studio.
You will get to see your tattoo the day of your appointment. Sometimes an artist may need to finish details with you so expect there could be some draw time the day of your 1st appointment if your artist has any questions. If you approve the design then we will get started tattooing right away at your 1st appointment.
If you are unsatisfied with the design your artist has created and would like changes made we will do this BUT if the desired changes take longer than 30-45 mins your 1st appointment will become a collaborative drawing day between you and your artist and therefore you will not start your tattoo until your 2nd scheduled appointment.
A drawing deposit of $50 can be made if you want to see a design before making an appointment.
HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?
That will depend on how long it takes the artist to complete the work, though we do have a $50 minimum for any tattoo by Evan, and a $100 minimum for any tattoo by Natasha. When you come by for a consultation, we’ll give you an estimate.
IS YOUR SHOP LICENSED?
It is, and our artists have the required state certification. In addition to being licensed, our artists take their stations extremely serious ensuring that cleanliness and sterilization is our top priority. If you have not had a chance to visit our shop, we invite you to see, first hand, the measures our team has taken to be clean and professional.
CAN I GET TATTOOED IF I'VE BEEN DRINKING?
No, we won’t tattoo anyone who’s been drinking. We want you to make a decision about your tattoo when you’re in the clearest state of mind. Alcohol thins the blood, which means you’ll bleed more while getting your tattoo, and it also makes it less likely that you’ll sit still. Let’s wait until you’re sober.
CAN I USE A NUMBING CREAM OR AN ANESTHETIC?
That’s your call, but please be aware that it could make things a little harder on your artist. Creams will change the texture of your skin and affect how well your skin takes ink. They also get wiped off pretty quickly as the artist does the work, so they don’t even work that well. Again, it’s your call, but we’d advise against it.
DOES GETTING A TATTOO HURT?
It hurts. It’s hard to tell you how much it hurts because it varies so much between different people, but you’re definitely going to feel it. The better you feel when you arrive – being well rested, having eaten something, being hydrated, staying relaxed – the better you’ll be able to sit through your session.
DO I TIP THE ARTIST?
If you feel like the artist did a good job and provided you with what you wanted, then sure, a tip would be appropriate.
DO YOU DO ALL WHITE TATTOOS?
No, we do not. Although white tattoos are a popular trend, they have the potential to turn yellow and/or cause the appearance of scarring upon healing.
The truth is that white tattoos are meant for highlighting, not for complete tattooing.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET A TATTOO?
You must be 18 years of age to get tattooed.
MY FRIEND tattoos OUT OF HIS/HER HOUSE, AND IS WILLING TO GIVE ME A TATTOO SUPER CHEAP. WHY SHOULD I GO TO A STUDIO INSTEAD?
NEVER GET TATTOOED AT YOUR FRIENDS HOUSE... NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY THERE IS NO WAY POSSIBLE TO CONTAIN THE ENVIRONMENT WITHIN A HOUSE TO PROVIDE A STERILE TATTOO ENVIRONMENT. Science has proven the presence of a microscopic off-spray that gets on things in the area where the tattoo is being done. Couches, etc. are porous and therefore unable to be sterilized. Gross! It's not worth risking your health. Your friend is not licensed. He/she probably has had no training at all in sterile procedures and or tattooing so you will most likely end up with a nasty, poorly done, and infected tattoo... or worse HIV, AIDs, HepC, MRSA or some other incurable disease. No amount of money is worth damaging your health so don't price shop... invest in a good tattoo, by a good artist in a good studio.
